Training System
Adhering to the teaching tenet of "Equal Importance to Martial Arts and Culture", Emei Jingwu Kungfu Academy has built a diversified teaching system covering martial arts skills, cultural literacy, and comprehensive abilities. It not only focuses on the accurate inheritance of martial arts skills but also emphasizes the improvement of students' overall quality.
Core Martial Arts Courses
With Emei martial arts as the core, the courses are hierarchically designed according to the logic of "Foundation-Advancement-Characteristics" to meet the learning needs of different students:
• Basic Martial Arts Training: Covers core basic skills such as boxing techniques, kicking techniques, and body techniques. It improves students' strength, speed, flexibility, and coordination through scientific training, laying a solid foundation for subsequent learning.
• Characteristic Emei Routines: Teaches representative routines such as Emei Boxing (e.g., Five-Step Boxing, 26-form Emei Boxing), Emei Broadsword, and Emei Dagger. Among them, Emei Dagger, as an exclusive weapon of the Emei School, is the teaching focus due to its small and flexible features and the ability to both attack and defend; Emei Broadsword is famous for its unique techniques and elegant movements, demonstrating the characteristic of "combining hardness and softness" of Emei martial arts.
• Practical Skill Training: Teaches students how to apply martial arts skills in practice through simulated actual combat scenarios. At the same time, self-defense courses are offered to enhance students' self-protection ability.
Cultural Literacy Courses
To achieve the teaching goal of "conveying virtues through martial arts", Jingwu Kungfu Academy offers a variety of cultural courses:
• Traditional Chinese Culture: Explains the integration of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism with Emei martial arts, and conveys the martial arts philosophy of "Virtue First, Martial Arts Supplementary".
• Calligraphy Course: Combines calligraphy practice with martial arts training, cultivating students' concentration and aesthetic ability, and enabling them to feel the charm of traditional art.
• Martial Arts Culture Special Topics: Systematically introduces the origin, development, and inheritance of Chinese martial arts, and deeply interprets the philosophical ideas of Emei martial arts such as "overcoming hardness with softness" and "subduing movement with stillness", cultivating students' martial arts literacy and cultural confidence.
Comprehensive Ability Courses
In view of the characteristics of young students, military courses and team activities are offered. Through standardized training, students' willpower is tempered, and their sense of self-discipline, cooperation, and responsibility is cultivated. At the same time, combined with outdoor research activities, students can experience the connection between martial arts culture, nature, and society in practice.
